Great News! HSA & FSA Coverage for DPC

Starting in 2026, you can use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds to pay for your Direct Primary Care (DPC) membership! This exciting change is part of the new Primary Care Enhancement Act — a bipartisan provision included in the federal “Big Beautiful Bill” passed by Congress to expand access to affordable, patient-centered primary care.

Coverage Details

  • Effective Date: January 1, 2026
  • Eligible Accounts: Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
  • Annual Coverage Limits: Individuals may use up to $1,500 per year; families may use up to $3,000 per year toward DPC memberships.
  • What’s Covered: Monthly DPC membership fees and related primary care services provided directly by your physician.

We’re thrilled that this long-awaited change recognizes the value of the DPC model. Patients can now invest in their health with greater flexibility — and enjoy all the benefits of personalized care without insurance barriers.

Yes, for families with more than 2 children, each additional child is $10 with at least one adult parent membership.

Insurance FAQs

No, we don’t take insurance. Luna Health operates on a simple membership model — you pay a predictable monthly fee that covers all your primary care without the hassles of copays, billing, or insurance middlemen.

Though your insurance will not be billed for office visits (these will all be covered under your membership fee), you will need your insurance to cover labs/imaging/specialist visits. Typically PPO plans work best with DPC.
